CST is a gentle, hands-on approach that works with the rhythm and flow of the craniosacral system—comprised of the brain, spinal cord, and surrounding membranes. Using soft, sustained touch, I help your body release restrictions and unwind tension stored deep within the nervous system. This process invites the body into a parasympathetic state, where healing naturally begins to unfold.

Unlike more forceful forms of bodywork, CST meets your system where it is. Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, trauma, anxiety, or just the wear and tear of life, this work offers your body and spirit the space to decompress and reset—at its own pace.

SomatoEmotional Release (SER)

As we work with the nervous system, it's not uncommon for emotions or memories to arise. This process is known as SomatoEmotional Release (SER)—a gentle, organic expression of something your body may have held onto for days, months, or even years.

In these moments, you are not alone. I hold a nonjudgmental, compassionate space where whatever comes up is welcome. SER is not something we chase or provoke; it’s something we honor if and when it appears—because healing isn’t just about the physical, it’s about releasing the weight of what no longer serves you.

Trauma-Informed Massage

At Mindful Unwind, massage is not just about relieving physical discomfort—it’s about helping your body feel safe enough to heal.

Rather than following a fixed routine, I use moment-to-moment intuition and collaborative conversation to decide which modalities will support your individual goals. Whether you're looking to ease chronic pain, reconnect with your body, or work through nervous system overwhelm, we’ll work together to create a treatment that is both effective and deeply honoring.

Techniques That May Be Integrated:

  • Cupping therapy to release stagnation and restore circulation

  • Gua sha for fascial release and lymphatic flow

  • Hot or cold therapies to soothe inflammation or stimulate healing

  • Deep tissue or Swedish techniques for grounding, muscle relief, or nervous system regulation

  • Myofascial Release to help break up fascial restrictions

Visceral Manipulation

Visceral Manipulation is a gentle manual therapy that assesses the structural relationships between the viscera (organs), and their fascial or ligamentous attachments to the various systems in the body. It also assists functional and structural imbalances throughout the body including musculoskeletal, vascular, nervous, urogenital, respiratory, digestive, eliminatory, neuroendocrine and lymphatic dysfunction.

Relaxing Deep Tissue

This isn’t the “no pain, no gain” kind of deep tissue massage.

At Mindful Unwind, deep tissue work is approached with intention, breath, and nervous-system awareness—not force. The goal isn’t to overpower your muscles, but to guide your body into a place where it feels safe enough to let go.

Using slow, focused pressure, I work through layers of tension while inviting your awareness out of the mental loop and back into your body—where healing, presence, and rest live. This is a session where you don’t just “fix tight muscles”—you remember what it feels like to feel deeply connected and at home in yourself.
